Hi, I’m Maryn Molden, and my goal in life is to travel and embrace my creativity in both my professional and personal life.
A little about me: I am independent and creative. I’m a dog person, and my hobbies include painting, photography, embroidery, and hiking. In 2020, I dedicated more time to photography and embroidery. My favorite movies are “The 10th Kingdom” (technically a mini-series), “10 Things I Hate About You,” and “Ever After.”
Now, onto the more professional aspects of my life:
Over thirteen years ago, I started as an office assistant at Chippewa Valley Ethanol Company (CVEC) in Benson, MN. Later, I became a social media manager at Glacial Grain Spirits (GGS), which is part of CVEC. This role was my first marketing experience outside of Bemidji State University. I built a Facebook page from the ground up, designed engaging posts, and communicated with followers daily.
In the spring of 2018, I studied abroad at Oxford University in England. While I was overseas, I traveled to Scotland and Ireland, and I spent the last week and a half exploring London. It was one of the best experiences of my life, helping me grow as a person and become more confident and empowered.
During the fall of my senior year at Bemidji State, I volunteered at the Watermark Art Center and the Beltrami County Historical Society in Bemidji, Minnesota. At Watermark, I delved deeper into marketing in the arts. I captured events and artwork through photography, and I collaborated with the Communications Director once a week on press releases and social media posts.
In May 2019, I graduated cum laude with honors from Bemidji State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communication with a minor in History.
From August 2021 to February 2023, I served as the office manager and marketing coordinator at Kaas Wilson Architects. During my time there, I managed the company’s marketing responsibilities and coordinated with an outside marketing firm. I designed internal newsletters, social media posts, and proposals, updated the website through WordPress and HubSpot, and organized internal and external events.
From June 2023 to November 2024, I worked as a preconstruction proposal coordinator and social media specialist at Enclos in Eagan, Minnesota. I utilized Adobe Creative Suite to design and write proposals for a range of projects, from hospitality venues to research facilities.
Currently, I’m working as a marketing consultant, a role I have been pursuing on and off since 2019. I assist small startups with logo creation, social media management, and graphic design.
